Registration Cost

Includes 1 meal/day

  • $48: Pre-registration
  • $55: On-site registration

  • $45: On-site registration

We will meet on site for the field trips. MNA is an additional fee.


Special Feature: Optional field trips to Elden Pueblo (weather permitting) and the Museum of Northern Arizona (MNA)

April 27

  • 11:45-12:15: Registration*
  • 12:15-3:00: Sessions/lunch
  • 3:30-5:00: MNA field trip

*Registration will be between 11:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m.  Lunch will be provided.

The conference will go until 3:30, followed by an optional, cash-paid field trip to the Museum of Northern Arizona.  (Details on the cost of the fieldtrip will be coming up.)

April 28

  • 9:15-9:45: Register/breakfast
  • 9:45-12:00: Sessions
  • 12:30-1:30: Lunch (on your own)
  • 1:30: Meet at Elden
The conference will run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:15, which includes breakfast.  We will have an optional free field trip to Elden Pueblo, weather permitting.


Call for Papers and Panelists

Would you like to share favorite teaching methods? Are you a student who has some tips for anthropology professors to help keep their classmates en- gaged? Would you like to share experiences with engaging in the community in the context of anthro- pology?

Please send an abstract of up to 200 words to lara. [email protected] no later than April 7th. Be prepared to present for 12-15 minutes.

Don’t have a paper but you still want to have your voice heard? Join our student panel to discuss ex- periences in community college anthropology.

Be sure to send your name (how you want it in the program, institution, and either abstract or summary of the types of experiences you would like to share to be on the panel to [email protected]

Please pre-register by April 7, 2018.
Parking is available, for a fee on Friday, and free on Saturday at NAU.
